Jurgen Klopp might have revealed which side he’s on in the eternal war between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi after admitting the only selfie he has on his phone is with Lionel Messi.
They say you aren’t supposed to meet your heroes but when it comes to spotting sports stars, in literally any location, fans will rush over to ask for a selfie to show to all of their friends.
At a recent game at Old Trafford one fan was so desperate just to get a selfie with Cristiano Ronaldo that he ran onto the pitch in order to get a picture with the former Manchester United forward.
There’s also countless times that Ronaldo or Lionel Messi have stopped their security from halting a young fans’ progress in trying to get a picture with them.
Of course if you really want to see selfies of footballers then you only have to wait for the aftermath of a north London derby…
But in the battle of who is the most popular player to grab a picture with Jurgen Klopp has landed a blow for the Messi camp.
The Liverpool manager revealed the only selfie on his phone was with Messi, even though Cristiano Ronaldo was in the room at the time.
However, whilst Klopp may prefer Messi to Ronaldo, it seems that the former Borussia Dortmund manager doesn’t have either man as the best of all time.
In the interview with LFCTV he said it was Pele who is the best of all time, saying, “My father always told me, whatever people people say in the future, Pele was the best.
“I met him actually, when I was a pundit at the World Cup in 2006. I’m not the type of guy who gets nervous but I was sweating like crazy in that moment.”

The real question has to be whether or not Messi also has the picture with Klopp saved to his phone.
