‘Game of Thrones’ star Lena Headey joined the growing number of women accusing disgraced film executive Harvey Weinstein of inappropriate behavior of a sexual nature.
Don’t mess with Cersei Lannister, or the woman who plays her.
Headey took to Instagram Tuesday to post a screenshot of the makeup shaming comment and unleashed her wrath, because in the words of Cersei, “A good king knows when to save his strength and when to destroy his enemies.”
“I shall continue to not wear make up,” Headey captioned the picture, adding “go (expletive) your self.”
Fellow “GoT” actress Emilia Clarke (who plays Daenerys Targaryen) applauded her take-down, writing “PREACH BEAUTIFUL WOMAN.” Meanwhile, Gwendoline Christie (the actress behind warrior Brienne of Tarth) sent along a series of pink hearts.
The makeup-shaming comment appears to have been left on Headey’s post from Monday, where the actress promoted her new movie “Fighting With My Family.”
Headey is set to star in the eighth and final season of “Game of Thrones,” which premieres on HBO April 14 (9 EST/PST). Hopefully her real-life experience of slaying internet trolls will come in handy.
