Mohamed Salah and Raheem Sterling are both having a strong season for Liverpool and Manchester City respectively.
Both teams are locked in a hotly contested race for the Premier League title, with Jürgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola banking on both men to keep their form up for the rest of the season.
Speaking of form, one Liverpool fan, aptly named SalaHolic on Twitter, has decided to break down both players’ stats in the league, showing how little separates the two of them.
For example, the Manchester City star has scored 15 times and registered nine assists, while the Reds ace has found the back of the net on 17 occasions and assisted his teammates seven times.
Sterling has carried over his impressive club form to England’s opening Euro 2020 qualifying match, with him opening the scoring for the Three Lions against the Czech Republic.
While Egypt face Niger on Saturday in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, Egyptian FA vice-president Ahmed Shobair revealed that Salah would not be involved in the match.
“Mohamed Salah will not play the Niger game in the AFCON qualifiers or the Nigeria friendly,” he told KingFut last month.
“Ahmed Hegazi will probably also be left out of the squad.”
