Milan are not surprised that UEFA referred them to its CFCB Adjudicatory Chamber over Financial Fair Play (FFP) breaches.

The new breaches relate to last season and the current campaign, while the case is separate to the one that saw them hit with a European ban, which was later lifted.

However, ANSA reports Milan ‘knew’ an investigation would get under way and ‘expected’ the development as it was considered ‘an obligatory formal step’.

Furthermore, the agency points out the violations came before Elliott Management officially took control of the club last July.

With that in mind, Elliott would be ‘committed’ to following the steps needed to bring the Rossoneri in line with FFP regulations.
