Pjanic: My future? Ask Juve…

Miralem Pjanic has admitted that he does not know whether he will stay at Juventus. “You should ask the club, not me.”

Pjanic has won a hat-trick of Scudetti with Juve since arriving from Roma in 2016, but the Bianconeri could overhaul their squad this summer after another Champions League exit.

“If it means dribbling better with the ball then yes, I can do better,” the midfielder told Tuttosport.

“The team must dominate matches even more, especially in Europe. In Italy, there’s another way of playing.

“In Europe, on the other hand, teams play attacking football. They push and don’t stop. The Champions League is a different competition.”

The Old Lady were favourites going into their Champions League quarter-final with Ajax but ended up losing 3-2 on aggregate, courtesy of a 2-1 defeat in the second leg.

“Saying something against this Juventus is a lack of respect. There are many people who talk a bit too much and don’t understand much.

“Anything can happen in football. Unfortunately we’ve exited the competition. If we’d faced the game with fewer absences and less injuries, things would’ve gone better.

“We lacked that bit of luck that we needed, which is to have everyone available. It’s not an excuse, but it would’ve been easier.

“We’ve gone out, now we will have to analyse what didn’t go well and try to do our best next season.

“I think we’re being managed by some very prepared people and the Coach is one of them. He knows what he has to do.

“There are many good and strong players at Juventus. I’m glad to be here, year after year I do my best and I’m growing.

“I don’t know what’ll happen with me. You should ask the club, not me.”
