She’s currently on the promotional trail for her new movie Booksmart, her directorial debut, set to open in theaters on May 24.
And Olivia Wilde stepped out looking gorgeous on Wednesday as she was spotted in New York wearing a renaissance-style dress with colorful plaid pattern.
The 35-year-old Drinking Buddies star was all smiles in the long-sleeved frock as she tucked her hands in her pockets.

On her feet were some patent red heels and she wore her golden blonde tresses loose in romantic curls.
Some of the stars of Wilde’s movie spoke very highly of her during the Los Angeles premiere of the comedy on Monday night.
‘I can’t say enough positive adjectives about that woman. It was honestly a dream,’ Billie Lourd, 26, said.
‘She is not only a stunning creature, she is one of the most brilliant, humble, kind, fun humans I’ve ever been around in my life.’ she told Us Weekly.

Kaitlyn Dever, who plays the lead role of studious Amy, felt the same way about Wilde.
‘I mean it really was like one of the most inclusive sets I’ve been on and that’s because of her and her spirit. She’s unlike anyone I’ve ever met. She really is like an alien. She’s an angel sent from above.’ the 22-year-old gushed.
‘She’s been able to pull bad experiences and good experiences and go, “OK, what is the movie that I want to make?” And she led the charge and created this baby, Booksmart, into this movie that is now so well received and so loved by so many people. She’s a genius.’

Booksmart revolves around two overachieving high school seniors played by Beanie Feldstein and Kaitlyn Dever.
On the day of graduation, the pair start to think they should have worked less and played more and so they decide to try and pack four years of partying into one night.
‘There hasn’t been a movie about two female best friends since Bridesmaids that really, really felt authentic to me,’ Wilde explained during a recent interview on iHeartRadio.
‘I was like, “I want to make something that feels funny and authentic and also to celebrate smart girls who aren’t trying to assimilate”‘, she added. ‘I knew it could be so funny and important.’
