The official Japanese website for the ongoing TV anime adaptation of Koyoharu Gotouge’s fantasy action

manga Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba announced today that 47-year-old Junichi Suwabe (Shouta Aizawa

in My Hero Academia) is cast as Kyogai, aka Tsuzumi no Oni (Drum Demon), a member of the Twelve Demon

Moons who will join the story from its next 11th episode to be aired in Japan on June 15.

Suwabe says, “Because I did my voice recording session before the TV premiere, I had wondered how the

finished animation would become. And when I watched the on-air of its first episode, I was surprised at its

quality, like ‘Wow!’ Once again, I felt so honored to take part in. My character Kyogai is also a very sad demon.

I hope there will be something unforgettable in your heart after watching.”
