Microsoft has revealed the next generation of its Xbox console, Project Scarlett, at E3 2019 late Sunday. The newest iteration of Microsoft’s renowned console hosts a specially-designed AMD processor roughly four times more powerful than its Xbox One X predecessor. Project Scarlett will purportedly support unto 120 frames-per-second and support 8k displays, with a native 4k resolution at 60 FPS. More features include a next-gen SSD, which will offer up speeds roughly 40x faster than other consoles.

Slated for a holiday 2020 launch, Project Scarlett’s look design is still shrouded in mystery — Microsoft refrained from actually showing any prototypes of the console, opting to share some of the specs instead. The console will be released alongside Halo Infinite. Much of the announcement follows with Microsoft’s Xbox One X reveal at E3 2017, with them refraining from showcasing the real name (dubbing it Project Scorpio) and the product itself.
