Zinedine Zidane's Unwanted XI Is Better Than Most Teams

Zinedine Zidane and Real Madrid have been extremely busy in the transfer market already and now they’re going to have to sell players, and they can make quite the XI out of available players.

Real Madrid aren’t shy when it comes to buying players. Whilst most teams are still trying to put their summer plans into action Los Blancos are pretty much done, and that’s not because they’re going all Spurs and not buying anyone.

The 13 times European champions have already signed Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao and Ferland Mendy, whilst Rodrygo has also joined the team.

There’s talk that Paul Pogba could yet make a big money move to the Bernabeu but it’s already a handy summer of work for Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Perez.

With so many incomings though it’s time that Real trimmed a bit of the fat and AS have drawn up an XI of players that they’re trying to sell.

We aren’t saying this team would win the league anywhere but they’ve got a good cup run in them at very least:

Real Madrid's for sale XI is impressive.

Real Madrid’s for sale XI is impressive.

Keylor Navas was Real’s first choice keeper for three seasons from 2015, even though the club tried to swap him for David de Gea, and it was only the signing of Thibaut Courtois last summer that’s put him up for sale.

If Zidane had stayed in charge throughout there’s a good chance Navas wouldn’t have been sold because the manager refused to sign Kepa 18 months ago, preferring the Costa Rican.

The defence is one of the weaker parts of the for sale side and right back might not be Lucas Vazquez’s strongest position but it still isn’t a bad back line.

Dani Ceballos and Martin Odegaard are still excellent prospects for the future but both have failed to shine in the Spanish capital.

The three behind the striker is obviously the strongest part of the team and most teams in the world would be strengthened with Gareth Bale, Isco and James Rodriguez.

The latter has been linked with Napoli after Bayern Munich decided not to take up their option to sign him during his two year loan spell.

Isco has been a favourite of Zidane’s in the past but the signing of Hazard makes him surplus to requirements for the Frenchman.

Bale could be the hardest to shift because of his wages but he is unlikely to appear under Zidane.

Which player would you like your club to sign?
