Nicolo Zaniolo seems ready to join Tottenham Hotspur or Juventus after reportedly growing unhappy with Roma.
According to Calciomercato.com, Zaniolo and his agent Claudio Vigorelli is disappointed that Roma are only prepared to increase his salary by €300,000.
The website explains new Giallorossi sporting director Gianluca Petrachi wants the 20-year-old to prove he is worthy of a better pay packet on the field.
Despite breaking through last season, the attacking midfielder scored just once more in Serie A after February 2.
As for where he could go next, it is thought the Lupi are tempted by Tottenham’s offer of €25m plus Toby Alderweireld, as per Corriere dello Sport.
Alderweireld would be a direct replacement for Kostas Manolas, but CM warns Zaniolo is leaning more towards a move to Juve, with whom he has ‘an agreement in principle’ over personal terms.
On the other hand, Sportitalia claims the starlet is now open to signing for the Champions League finalists, who have offered €27m plus the Belgian – rated at €23m.
The onus would now be on Juve to respond, otherwise Tottenham look to have a clear track forward.
