Henrikh Mkhitaryan sees the dry loan to Roma as “a new chapter. I know what this club is all about and we can achieve great things together.”

The 30-year-old forward completed his transfer today on a one-season loan, at a cost of €3m plus up to €100,000 in performance-related bonuses.

“It’s a great opportunity for me to begin a new chapter, with a great club,” Mkhitaryan told the Roma website.

“I know what this club is all about and I am sure we can achieve great things together.”

Mkhitaryan has chosen the Number 77 jersey, having recently played for Manchester United and Arsenal.

“Henrikh fits our desire to add players to the squad who can serve as examples to our younger players, and who have the technical quality to quickly adjust to Serie A football,” said Roma sporting director Gianluca Petrachi.
