Agent: We’ll see about Cutrone, Verdi…
Patrick Cutrone’s agent has refused to confirm the striker’s future lies at Milan but says fellow client Simone Verdi ‘has only shown half of his worth’ at Napoli.
Krzysztof Piatek’s arrival at Milan has limited Cutrone to substitute appearances at San Siro, and Donato Orgnoni admitted the Italy starlet would be forced to consider his future if his situation did not improve.
“Will Cutrone stay at Milan? We’ll see,” he told Radio Marte.
He added to Milan News: “Cutrone is a player who wants to play and has always accepted the Coach’s decisions.
“It’s normal that, should his space in the team be extremely reduced between now and the end of the season, we’ll weigh up what the best solution is for the lad and Milan in the summer.”
Orgnoni, however, was more positive about Verdi’s chances of breaking through for Napoli after the former Bologna winger overcame his injury problems.
“Simone is fine now and has left the negativity behind,” he explained.
“Playing for Napoli isn’t easy and injuries slowed down his integration into the team, but I think he has the quality to carve out more space for himself, also because he’s only shown half of his worth.
“His only full 90 minutes came last Thursday. Other than that, he was either brought on or replaced.
“I think he’s good enough for the first team and he’ll prove it.”
