Alan Shearer Trolls Manchester United Fan Who Questioned His 'Team Of The Week'

Alan Shearer’s Premier League ‘Team of the Week’ hasn’t gone down well with Manchester United fans.

The Newcastle United hero named his best XI from the weekend’s league games on Monday morning, and he failed to mention any United players despite their emphatic victory at Cardiff City.

The likes of Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard starred on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who took charge of his first game since being appointed United gaffer.

Pogba created not one but three goals while Lingard bagged a brace as they battered Cardiff 5-1.

But Shearer opted for other players which riled a United fan who took to Twitter to vent his frustration.

“United won 5-1 and not a single player gets in. SHOCK,” a Twitter user wrote in response to Shearer’s ‘Team of the Week’.

The Match of the Day pundit then brilliantly fired back: “It’s been five months and I’ve been wondering where all the Man United fans have been!”

Shearer’s team does, though, include the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who netted twice against Burnley, Son Heung-min who continued his heroics with a scintillating performance versus Everton as well as Andros Townsend, to name but a few.

Maybe Shearer is fed up of hearing United’s famous chant about him, which has been belted out once again following the managerial appointment of the Norwegian.

Meanwhile, United resume their league campaign against Huddersfield Town on Boxing Day, where Solskjaer will take charge of his first game as United boss at Old Trafford.

Will it be two wins from two games?

Sound off below with your prediction for the match.
