Three years ago today, Hal Robson-Kanu turned into the best player in the world for about five seconds and scored THAT silky goal against Belgium.
Belgium took the lead in the Euro 2016 quarter final through Radja Nainggolan before Ashley Williams equalised from a corner prior to half-time.
The second half began all Wales and their pressure told when Aaron Ramsey crossed for Robson-Kanu who turned his three markers beautifully with one swift ‘Cruyff Turn’ before calmly slotting home past Thibaut Courtois.
Sam Vokes added a brilliantly headed third for Wales to secure their first major tournament semi-final appearance, where they were beaten 2-0 by eventual winners Portugal.
As for Robson-Kanu, his piece of magic basically got him a move that summer. His contract had expired with Reading a day prior to his wondergoal and he would end up signing for West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.
The 30-year old retired from international football last August but is still plying his trade with the Baggies in the Championship, making 31 appearances and scoring six goals last season.
