Kanye West gives a 10-minute monologue in the White House Oval Office during his visit with President Donald Trump and NFL legend Jim Brown.
But that was last year.
Tuesday, the rapper jumped back into the waters of controversy with both feet, firing off a flurry of tweets that covered everything from his love of President Donald Trump to his own political aspirations to fashion.
He started the afternoon tweet-fest declaring, “Trump all day” followed by dragon emojis and “Just so in 2019 you know where I stand.”
The dragons likely reference a tweet from April in which West said he and Trump both have “dragon energy” that makes them “Natural born leaders.”
Then he moved on to what seemed the meat of his New Year’s message, saying “They will not program me” and “Blacks are 90% Democrats That sounds like control to me.”
He also tweeted “2024.” West has talked about running for president himself that year.
West encouraged his Twitter followers to “Love everyone” and “Start the year clean” before declaring his love for his MAGA hat, saying, “From now on I’m performing with my (expletive) hat on.”
He ended, less than an hour after he’d started by saying, “One of my favorite of many things about what the Trump hat represents to me is that people can’t tell me what to do because I’m black.”
That seems to put an end to, “I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative !!!”
