Lucas Leiva looks like he will have to postpone his Lazio comeback again, as he interrupted the training session 20 minutes early.
The 31-year-old had been hoping to feature this Saturday in the Serie A game against Cagliari.
However, he pulled up during today’s training session at the Formello ground, suggesting his thigh injury is not fully healed.
Leiva has played only one game since October 25, in which he aggravated the existing adductor issue.
Coach Simone Inzaghi is taking it very easy to ensure there are no further relapses for the Brazilian.
Meanwhile, Valon Berisha is back in training after he missed the 1-0 defeat to Atalanta.
