According to a recent report from AS, Manchester United and Napoli have both entered themselves into the are to try and sign Real Madrid star James Rodriguez. The Colombian has been unable to make the desired impact with either Real or Bayern Munich over the last few years, and now, his loline dung-awaited switch away could finally become a reality.
The expectation is that United could use Rodriguez in some kind of deal with Paul Pogba that would see the controversial Frenchman go in the opposite direction. However, with Arsenal, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton all still in the running, we could be in for something of a bidding war before this is all said and done.
The hope from all parties is that they can get something over the finish line during the summer transfer window, but if the suspension of football continues across Europe, that could quite easily change.
