Sarri: Position 'not my problem'

Maurizio Sarri has insisted that his position as Chelsea boss is ‘not my problem’ after Monday’s FA Cup exit to Manchester United.

Chelsea lost their third straight game without reply as United won 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, plunging Sarri’s reign further into doubt.

“We played confused football in the second half but in the first, we played well,” the former Napoli Coach said after the match.

“My position? it’s not my problem. The relationship [with the team] is not so important, but it is good.”

Blues fans turned on ‘Sarri-ball’ during the tie as they demanded its abolishment in no uncertain terms…

“I am worried about the result, not the fans,” he maintained.

“Had I heard anti-‘Sarri-ball’ chants before? No. For everything there is the first time.”
