Don’t get on the wrong side of Virgil van Dijk because he’ll shout like crazy at you. Even if you’re his teammate.
A couple of weeks ago at Manchester City, Virgil van Dijk hollered some choice words towards Dejan Lovren for his hopeless ball in the dying stages.
The imperious Dutch defender has now given his other defensive colleague, Trent Alexander-Arnold, a verbal bashing and it’s gold.
In the final minute of normal time versus Brighton, van Dijk organised his sides back line in brilliant fashion by shouting at the young right-back in a great moment.
Class. He’s surely a future Liverpool captain.
Anyway, Liverpool returned to the win column by securing three Premier League points at the AMEX Stadium, courtesy of a second-half Mohamed Salah penalty.
Mohamed Salah bagged the only goal of the game as Liverpool’s incredible defence kept another clean sheet.
van Dijk’s heroics in December saw him become Premier League’s ‘Player of the Month’.
He’s been a rock at the back, and even weighing in with assists and goals.
He bagged his first league goal for the club against Wolverhampton Wanderers, not to mention ‘creating’ Divock Origi’s last minute winner against Merseyside rivals Everton.
His side won all seven matches in December as they mount a serious bid to win the Premier League title.
Next up for van Dijk and co, Crystal Palace at Anfield.
